A key part of our mission is revitalization. The committee of the same name (Revitalization) has over the past three summers brought you the Outdoor Movies at the corner of Warner & Walley. The feeling of the crowd as the sun goes down and the kids snuggle under blankets in wild anticipation of the show is a classic Norman Rockwell scene. If you attended any of them, you know this feeling of low-tech energy and excitement and hopefully left revitalized! As we (the community) gear up for the holiday season let’s think about revitalization. Walk out the front door; take a visitor’s eye look at your space and ask what you can do right now to revitalize it. After completing this task it is time to think long term. What can you work on over the next month that will contribute to the revitalization of Sedro-Woolley. Jot down your ideas and bring them to the next Revitalization Committee meeting and become a part of the mission. I want to thank long time committee chair Kirk Blankenship, the marketing coordinator for Birchview, A Memory Care Facility for his years of dedication to the committee and his community. After years of inspired leadership, Kirk has stepped down from his position. His hard work and dedication will be followed by the new chair, Tim McCray, Chamber board member; owner of Northwest Tinman and a .finalist for 2007 Sedro-Woolley Business of the Year.
