Sedro-Woolley has plenty of opportunities for young people to participate in sports and athletic activities, including the Youth Soccer Association, Rising Stars girls fastpitch league and Sedro-Woolley Little League. For all ages, there’s weight training and martial arts.

Baseball fields: Tesarik Park, Highway 20 across from Ferry Street; City Ballfields, Metcalf Street and Waldron Street; Janicki Playfields, Cook Road, west; Riverfront Park, Township Street and River Road.

Tennis courts are located at 3rd and Jameson, and at 6th and Talcott.

Golf is available at Sauk Mountain View Golf Course, 839 Fruitdale Road, 856-0315; and Overlook Golf Course, 1753 Highway 9, Big Lake, 422-6444.

Skagit Speedway in Alger and Deming Speedway attract local auto racers and fans.
