Visiting Sedro-Woolley’s historic downtown is a trip back in time with brick buildings fronted with comfortable wood benches beneath old-fashion light poles. Pictured on buildings throughout downtown are painted murals, many inspired by Darius Kinsey, a world famous photographer of western scenery, logging and railroads.
Enjoy the old-time logging equipment such as the Mac Yarder “Little Tugger” and the Steam Donkey that depict Sedro-Woolley’s history, and out on Highway 20 is the old steam train, Engine Number 2, that in past years acted as the City’s Visitor’s Center.
The Sedro-Woolley Museum, situated at 725 Murdock Street, offers a great deal of information to the public. Museum hours are Saturday 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday l:30 to 4:30 pm. For special tours, weekdays or weekend, contact the museum at 360-855-2390.
