YEARLY EVENTS
Following you will find a general listing of the yearly recurring events in Sedro-Woolley. Please check dates for the particular year you’re interested in, in correlation with when the event is to be held. Each individual event will be listed by date here on the site as it gets closer to the event. EASTER EGG HUNT: The Saturday before Easter at Riverfront Park at 1:00pm. Children ages crawler up to 12 years old enjoy hunting for Easter eggs and treats. WOODFEST: The second weekend in April. Quality Woodcrafters, traditional carvers, woodturners, chainsaw carvers, high school woodshop exhibits/competition/auction, educational exhibits, Cub Corner Cafe, and more! KID’S FISHING DERBY: The first Saturday in May. Held at Northern State Pond for ages 14 and under. Bring your own gear & bait. Gates open at 7am, fishing starts at 8am and derby closes at 3pm. Very limited parking, PLEASE carpool. BLAST FROM THE PAST: The first weekend in June. Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Sidewalk sales from local business as well as craft and food vendors. Saturday will bring us food, eating and hula hoop contests, as well as a stage show and live band, all in the gazebo and surrounding area of hammer heritage square! Saturday also brings us the antique car show along Metcalf St. Sunday brings us many family friendly events as well. OUTDOOR MOVIES: Every Friday night in July (1st week usually altered for Loggerodeo celebrations) LOGGERODEO: The week of July 4th. The State’s oldest on-going 4th of July celebration. Enjoy the Rodeo, Barbecue, Street Dance with Live Band, Bluegrass Jubilee, Wild Women of Woolley, Chainsaw Competition, Historical Display & Demonstrations at the Museum, Carnival, Kiddie Parade, Logging Show, Footrace, Grand Parade, Fireworks at dusk, and more! JUST FOR FUN POKER RUN: Second Sunday of August. Starts and stops in front of Hometown Cafe. Runs through Concrete, Rockport, Darrington, Arlington, Lake Cavanaugh. Big Rock & Clear Lake. Record cards are $3.00 each. Skagit Hospice receives 100% of all entry fee funds. FOUNDERS’ DAYS: Second weekend in September. Saturday Pancake breakfast, Museum open house. Sunday picnic at Riverfront Park, car show, and children’s activities in the park. HALLOWEEN: October 31st. Halloween Kiddie’s Parade at 5pm with line-up at 4:30pm in front of Wells Fargo Bank, followed by trick-or-treating at participating merchants in downtown Sedro-Woolley. SANTA’S CITY OF LIGHTS PARADE: First Saturday in December. Children’s activities such as train and pony rides, and other various goings on begin at 3pm. The lighting of the giant Christmas tree at 5pm kicks off the Santa parade. BREAKFAST WITH SANTA: Second Saturday in December. Children receive a free balloon, toy stocking, candy cane and breakfast with Santa. HOLIDAY HOME TOUR: Second Saturday in December. Visit 19th Century architecturally designed Sedro-Woolley heritage homes decorated for the holidays. |
